Happy anniversary to Chiara & Adrian!

Chiara has the most amazing long red hair and wanted a romantic loose updo for her wedding. After the trial she was totally happy with hair & makeup, however, I thought I could improve the hair style to make it more her. She was happy to trust me in this, which resulted in one of the most amazing hair styles I’ve created thus far (my opinion).  

I’ll show you the hair style from the trial first:

As said before, she was very happy with this hair style and it’s what we decided on. I always study the hair & makeup photos closely after trials to make sure I’m 100% happy and to see if there’s anything that I would do different. In Chiara’s case there was, I could see how the hair style could be be more loose, more flowy, more messy maybe even. So I shared my thoughts with Chiara and she gave me permission to improvise a little with the hair on her wedding day.

What do you think? I’m so in love with this hairstyle! I did like the style from her trial, but the version on her wedding day, to me, is just magical.

Her makeup was glowy, soft & natural, making her look absolutely stunning. She has beautiful freckles and I’m personally always a fan of showing them as much as possible. Just look at this beautiful beautiful face – can you believe she was 43 years old and mother of 4 children aged between 1 and 24? 

I also did the flowergirls’ hair & a little touch of makeup. Her niece Elsie was a lovely girl with a pixie cut, which I curled and braided on the side. Chiara’s daughter Henrietta got a half braided updo. Chiara had bought hair accessories for both of them which we fitted in and we added some flowers to Henrietta’s hair.

They had organised ‘welcome music’ when people were arriving at the Brunswick Bowls Club for Chiara & Adrian’s wedding.

Celebrant Dee Brinsmead married Chiara & Adrian on this glorious mid-winter day.

She looked so quirky & vibrant in her bright dress, golden boots and prawn earrings (yes, prawn earrings).

Those delightful ‘just married’-feels! What’s better than your friends & family throwing pompoms over you?!

Never before have I seen pompoms used as confetti. What a great idea! Confetti is often very messy, hard to clean up and bad for the environment. Using pompoms makes a great way to entertain children, they can be re-used for more pompom-throwing at home and after that for craft projects and the multi-coloured, and multi-sized look of them is just incredibly joyous!

After getting married & throwing pompoms, there was music, and food, and stunning wedding portraits!

What an amazingly beautiful family. I feel so honoured that Chiara asked me to be part of their big day!
