Hi! My name is Inèz.
I’m a professionally trained makeup artist and hair stylist, originally from The Netherlands and now based in Castlemaine, north of Melbourne, Australia (also followed training in both countries).
Known as a perfectionist and wanting my work to be impeccable, I believe good communication is key to a happy client. Together with the client (you!) I will determine what look they’re after and what suits them, ensuring they are satisfied with the end result.
I’m known for the natural looks I often do, whether that be for actors in productions or private clients looking fresh, beautiful, glowy and/or glamorous, ánd ‘like themselves’.
In my first year as a makeup artist I was able to participate in the Benelux Beauty Awards and received third prize in my first ever competition. In 2014, while travelling through Australia, I also won the Brisbane RAWards Makeup Artist of the Year. In more recent years I’ve made it to the top 10 of the Victorian ABIA Wedding Industry Awards in both the Hairstylist as well as the Makeup Artist categories for three consecutive years (’21, ’22, ’23) and after moving to Castlemaine in Regional Victoria in 2022, I became the #1 Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist in the Ballarat & Bendigo Wedding Industry Awards for 2023, after making it to the top 5 Bridal Makeup Artists the year before.
My experience includes brides, bridesmaids, film, TV, commercials, music videos, lookbooks, formal and special occasion, photoshoots, male to female transformation, workshops, masterclasses, 1-on-1 advice, editorial and runway.
Cruelty-free & sustainable
Another passion I have is working cruelty-free and sustainable. I care about animals and the environment. In my kit you’ll only find good quality, for a large part professional, cruelty-free makeup & hair products. 99% of the products are vegan-friendly and completely vegan makeup & hair styling is available.
I also try to be mindful of the waste involved with my work, for example by using less disposable and more reusable tools, biodegradable cotton buds, and by using towels instead of tissues. When working on location, I take my waste home to dispose off appropriately. Empty product packaging that can’t be reused, is saved it up for recycling with TerraCycle.
